Sister Act Musical in Toronto

Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder. Agreeing to testify she is placed in protection. Currently habbit forming on Broadway, Deloris and her convent of soul singing (and soul searching) nuns are performing to audiences here in Toronto at the Ed Mervish Theatre.

Featuring original music by 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors) and, nominated for five 2011 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Sister Act is sure to take Toronto by storm!

Based on the 1992 movie of the same title, producers Whoopi Goldberg and Stage Entertainment created a huge hit for the Broadway stage and will kick off the North American tour right here!

Deloris’ cover is exposed as she takes the very sound-lacking choir to new singing sensations and is torn beteween the heavy handed Mother Superior, her own faith and the very different-than-Deloris practices of the church.

A toe-tapping, full of soul musical in every meaning, catch this incredible tour at the Ed Mervish Theatre.
